This is the web installation version of Marcus Maeder’s ecoart installation Perimeter Pfynwald for the Critical Zones Exhibition at the ZKM in Karlsruhe.
Four audio recorder placed at different locations across the Pfynwald forest in Wallis, Switzerland recorded the environmental sounds from April to October 2018. In this web version one can rotate around 360° and hear the sounds located in the panorama picture. Additionally environmental data like temperature, humidity and radiation control the synthetic sound that is is heard from the direction of the wind.
